Laura Louise Laflin
WEST LAFAYETTE- Laura Louise Laflin, 86, of W. Platt St., died Saturday Sept. 7, 2013 at the Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 31, 1927 in Cowen, WV to the late Ballard and Josie (Wilson) Jackson. She married William P. Laflin on March 24, 1947, who preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1995. She was a shuttle press operator at the former Pretty Products for 34 years. She loved baking for her grandchildren, caring for her cockatiels, and her dog, “Dexter.”
She is survived by four daughters; Carolyn Bennett of Ravenna, Sheila (John) Grossenbaugh of Tyndall, Shelly (Sam Christopher) Hawkins of Vincent, and Judy McCoy of West Lafayette, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers; Donald Jackson of West Lafayette, and Guy (Hilda) Jackson of Frazeysburg, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Howard, Elmer, and Charles Jackson.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at Darling Run Cemetery with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
