Learn to crochet

| February 15, 2016

COSHOCTON – Jessie Tubbs will be teaching two intermediate crochet classes at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum on Feb. 20 and 27, 9 a.m. to noon. A new project will be presented at each class. The project for the first class is a Viking hat. Participants should bring a crochet hook and two skeins or worsted yarn–acrylic, wool or a blend. The pattern will be provided. The second week’s project will be determined by the group at the first class. Suggested projects include a pocket shawl, flower cloche hat and slippers.

The instructor, Tubbs, has more creative ideas than hours in the day. She has made a name for herself making whimsical animal hats, which can be viewed on her business’s Facebook page, Hooked on Hats and more. Cost is $9/class or two for $15. Museum members receive $3 off each class. Register by calling the museum at 740-622-8710 or by e-mail at jhmuseum@jhmuseum.org. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located at 300 N. Whitewoman St. in Roscoe Village, Coshocton. Classes take place on the museum’s lower level so enter through the back door.
