Leatha E. Arnold

Arnold, LeathaTAVERAS, FLLeatha Eileen Arnold, 100, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living, where she was a resident.

She was born Aug. 14, 1916 on a farm in Blissfield and raised by the late Archie Webb and Charlotte Viola (Mullett) McNeal.  She graduated from Blissfield High School, where she was the valedictorian of her class.  She married W. Lewis Arnold on Oct. 21, 1939, and for a time helped him operate the former Arnold’s Tin Shop, before becoming primarily a mother and housewife.  Lewis preceded her in death on April 27, 1998.  She was a member of the former Warsaw Homemaker’s Club, and the Warsaw United Methodist Church.  She played piano by ear, and she enjoyed doing so and was excellent at it.  She truly enjoyed life and loved to laugh.  She was very supportive of everyone in her family, and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by a daughter, Carole (Charles) Strauss of Orange, CA; two sons, Robert (Sharon) Arnold of Lake Forest, FL, and Kelly Arnold of Mt. Dora, FL; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis P. Arnold.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Rev. Luanne West officiating.  Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton.  There are no calling hours.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
