5311/5339 Grant Application Public Notice

The Coshocton County Board of Commissioners DBA The Coshocton County Coordinated Transportation Agency, which is a public body, intends to submit a Proposal to the Ohio Department of Transportation for operating and capital grants under the provision of 49 U.S.C. Section 5311 and Section 5339 of the Federal Transit Laws as codified and the Ohio Public Transportation Grant Program to provide transportation service primarily for the elderly and disabled within Coshocton County (593.91 square miles).
The operating grant will provide assistance for demand response public transportation and deviated fixed route services for the residents of Coshocton County during the CY 2020. The service currently operates Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The capital grant will provide financial assistance to purchase 2 wheelchair accessible vehicles, signage, fleet maintenance and computers.
Copies of the detailed service description and project budget may be obtained at the CCCTA office located at 401 Main Street, Coshocton between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A public hearing will be held at 9 a.m. August 12, 2019, in the County Commissioner’s office, 401 ½ Main Street, Coshocton; for public comment. This meeting is in a handicapped accessible location; other accommodations will be made as requested. For those unable to attend the public hearing, written comments may be submitted within 30 days after the hearing to Valerie Shaw, Transportation Director, 401 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812.
