Leonard ‘Len’ Reed

Leonard Reed PictureLeonard “Len” Reed, 89, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday November 4, 2015.

USFlagSunlightHC1311_X_300_C_YLen was born in New Moscow, Ohio on December 9, 1925 to the late Archie J. and Pauline (Tharp) Reed. He graduated from Conesville High School, served in the US Navy in Korea and South Pacific.

Len was a painting contractor throughout his life and was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church, Coshocton Elks Lodge #376, V.F.W. 2040 and a charter member of the Coshocton Campers Club. Len was an avid OSU Football and Basketball fan, GO BUCKS!

On April 17, 1944 he married Florence Reed, she passed away on August 9, 2011. Len is survived by his brother Ralph (Carole) Reed of Leetonia, Ohio; two grandsons Jaimie Reed and Ryan Reed both of Bucyrus, Ohio; two great grandchildren Brittany N. Reed and Tyler Lee Reed; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his son Dennis L. Reed; brother Robert Reed; sister Wilma Walters Reed.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday November 7, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dale Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens with Coshocton County Veterans Council performing military honors.
