Leonard Ray Harmon Sr.
Leonard Ray Harmon Sr., 66, of Coshocton passed away unexpectedly at his home in Coshocton on Friday, August 2, 2013.
Born November 14, 1946 in Newark, he was the son of the late Bernard Ray and Etta Marie (Reed) Harmon.
He had been a self-employed truck driver and handyman until becoming disabled in 1986.
Leonard will be remembered for his devotion to all his family and he loved hot wheels, die cast, plastic and metal model cars. Fishing and caring for his dogs and cats were also important factors in his life.
Leonard will truly be missed by his wife Mary Justina (Franklin) Harmon who he married March 4, 1971, sons Leonard Ray (Laurie) Harmon II of Coshocton, John Wayne (Nikki) Harmon of Dillon, SC; daughter Heather Louise (Josh Bates) Luce of Coshocton; five grandchildren Justina Luce, Michael Webb, Daniel Harmon, Hannah Harmon, Bryan Bates; brothers Robert (Dorothy) Harmon of Newark, Timothy Keeran of Newark, Billy Keeran of MS; sisters Lemmie (Richard) Franklin of Coshocton, Patty (Donald) Mills of Newark, Cheryl Keeran of Coshocton, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Harmon.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. To honor Leonard’s request, a horse-drawn hearse will carry his body to its final resting place in South Lawn Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday and Tuesday, August 5 and 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the Free Funeral Home.
