Leslie ‘Sam’ Rich

Leslie S. “Sam” Rich, 69, died Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Doctors Hospital in Columbus.

He was born April 20, 1952 in Zanesville to the late Leslie Samuel and Freda (Wolford) Rich. He was the Butcher for Buehler’s Foods in Coshocton and also butchered deer for many clients privately for 44 1/2 years. He was a member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge, enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his kids and grandkids,  playing pool, and spending lots of time with family.

He is survived by a daughter, Shannon (Chris) Miller of Coshocton; a son, Shane (Mandy) Rich of Coshocton; six grandchildren, Bella, Patience, Carson, Cooper, & Cyrus Miller, and Teagan Rich; four brothers, Jim Rich of Frazeysburg, Don Rich of Byesville, Ken Rich, Sr. of Warsaw, and Raymond (Anna) Rich of Coshocton; three sisters, Alice Rich of Burtonsville, MD; Vicki Rich of Reynoldsburg, and Nancy (Willie) McNemar of Dresden; his former wife and mother of his children, Gay Rich of Coshocton; several nieces & nephews, and many special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Rich.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Ric Bonice officiating. Burial with graveside military rites will follow in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 19th at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
