Lily R. Hostetter

Lily R. Hostetter, 93, of West Lafayette passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022. She was born in Coshocton, Ohio on November 3, 1928 to the late Harry E. and Harriet (Crayton) Patterson.

Lily graduated from Coshocton High School and Coshocton Business College. She worked for Shaw Barton, Moore Enameling, and retired from Ridgewood Local School District in 1991 after 25 years of service.

Lily was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church and enjoyed her Wednesday morning Bible studies.  She was a former member of Hickory Flats Tuesday evening golf league, Coshocton Keglerette Bowling League and West Lafayette Junior Guild.

Lily is survived by her grandchildren Patrick (Jill) Parr, and Jennifer (Chris) Taliaferro; great grandchildren Bevin, Cosmin, and Asher Parr and Dante Taliaferro; special friend Debbie (Terry) Guthrie Lowe and her family; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her companion of many years, Lloyd Guthrie; daughter Dr. Patricia E. Parr; son-in-law John “Pat” Parr; siblings Rosemary (James) Robinson; Eugene (Kathryn) Patterson, Earl (Marge) Patterson, and Lester (Geraldine) Patterson.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Saturday October 15, 2022 from 12pm to 1pm. The funeral service will begin at 1pm with Pastor Matt Anderson officiating. Burial of her cremated remains with take place at a later date at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Lafayette United Methodist Church United Methodist Women (WLUMC UMW), 120 West Union Avenue, West Lafayette, Ohio 43845.
