Linda Ann Sharier

Linda Ann Sharier, age 84, of West Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. She was born on April 12, 1939 to the late John N. and Maye Palmer.

On April 3, 1956, she married John T. Sharier and together they owned and operated Sharier Auto Wrecking and Salvage in West Lafayette, Ohio.

Linda was a member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge since 1987. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians fan. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in any situation. Linda was very proud of her children and grandchildren and she loved each of them unconditionally.

She is survived by her five children, Cynthia (Mark) Unrue of Uhrichsville, Tom (Jamie) Sharier of West Lafayette, John (Esther) Sharier of West Lafayette, Dave (Mendi) Sharier of Canton and Linda (Russ) Bridges of Newcomerstown; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and her lifetime friend, Isabel Johnston.

Along with parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, John on January 31, 1996, her brother, Jackie Palmer, sister, Maxine Bower and granddaughter, Elizabeth Sharier.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 am with Reverend Mark Unrue officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to Community Hospice.
