Lloyd Junior Guthrie
Lloyd Junior Guthrie, 89, of Coshocton passed away at Walnut Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center on Friday July 24, 2015. Lloyd was born in Warsaw, Ohio on June 5, 1926 to the late Lloyd L. and Selby (Patterson) Guthrie.
He attended Blissfield School and served with the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from Shaw Barton as a Press Operator.
He was a member of the V.F.W. 1330, loved owning and showing his classic cars in parades and special events. Junior loved spending time with his family, listening to country music, watching the Grand Olde Opry, restoring old cars and traveling.
He is survived by his daughter Debbie (Terry Lowe) Shryock of Coshocton; two granddaughters Darcie (Jason) Gard of Heath and Diane MacDonald of Coshocton; great grandchildren Taylor Lahna, Grant Gard and Madi MacDonald; several nieces and nephews. Lloyd loved his dear companion of many years Lily Hostetter of West Lafayette and was welcomed and loved by her family John Parr, Patrick (Jill) Parr, Jennifer (Chris) Taliaferro, Bevin, Cosmin, Asher Parr and Dante Taliaferro.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers Lawrence, Earl and Richard “Dick” Guthrie; and Lily’s daughter Patricia E. Parr.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday July 27, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM Noon with Pastor Charles Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette with Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors. Memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice”, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
