Did you know that each double batch of our peanut butter cookies has 2 whole sticks of real butter and 1-1/2 cups of peanut butter? Guess that’s why they’re so popular. The cookies should arrive by 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Thanks again to all of you, our loyal customers.

Epic Delights Bakery

I started Epic Delights Bakery approx 3 years ago at the age of 18. I grew up in an Amish home where baking and cooking were an important part of the day. My mother owns a catering business so I was introduced to cooking at a very young age.

In the fall of 2013 I attended Buckeye Career Center’s decorating classes and attended the Wilton baking / decorating classes after that. My baking business grew from word of mouth and I started doing cakes and cupcakes for weddings and other special events. I got married in November of 2014. My husband Jason is a mechanic at Automotive & Fleet in Millersburg.  We had our first child this past December. Her name is Alexis. She quickly became my whole world and my goal now is to become a full time baker and be a stay at home mother.

We recently moved to Coshocton and look forward to selling our products at Local Bounty.

As we always say “You can’t buy happiness…. But you can buy cupcakes.”

Thank you!

Hand Hewn Farm

We are LOVING this sunny weather! We have a nice variety of potatoes in the ground as well as sugar snap peas and shelling peas, and we are excited about this! We are currently stocked with our heritage breed, non-gmo pork and we will have non-gmo chicken in about 6 weeks! We also have fresh eggs at the Bounty. Our hens are TRULY free range! They go wherever they desire to forage and are supplemented with non-gmo feed. We love to have visitors here at the farm, please contact us if you would like to come out! www.handhewnfarm.com

Flying Pig Farms

Hello,

We’re back! I apologize for not having any pies last week. Our whole family had nasty bugs that wiped us out. We are healthy and back to our routine. I have blueberry, blackberry, cherry and new rhubarb pies this week. Also blueberry and new cranberry almond scones. If you haven’t tried our Walter’s Bug Spray now is the time! All natural spray repels ticks, flies and mosquitoes. We spray it on the ground around the fire pit and enjoy bug free evenings! It’s also a must for hunting…turkey or mushroom. We’ve started all our heirloom seeds and can’t wait to bring veggies and herbs to the market. If you’d like to order plants send me a message at harmstrong333@gmail.com or www.Facebook.com/OhioFlyingPigFarm.

Bob’s Pickle Patch/ Verda’s Hens

It’s fun to get a double yoked egg.  Saturday when I was cooking breakfast, I got two.  These are the extra large (jumbo) eggs from our hens.  It usually happens more in the spring.  This week we have plenty of small eggs from our new hens, so we will continue our special of two dozen small for $3.75.  Look for the blue cartons.

We appreciate your business.

Mullet Apiaries

Now that warm weather is here (hurray!), so is swarm season.  As a queen builds up brood (babies) and the hive gets crowded, the queen and many of the workers will sometimes leave, looking for new digs. Although a swarm of bees looks daunting, they are not interested in you, only in staying with and protecting their queen. If you see a swarm, give us a call at (740) 824-3915. We have the list of beekeepers who are located all around the county that will gladly come and remove the swarm.  Our shelves at Local Bounty are restocked and ready to serve your honey needs this week. Grilling season is upon us. Honey is a great ingredient for marinades. Do remember that using any sugary ingredient will char more easily and cook accordingly, but oh how delicious!
