Local Bounty Update

| November 6, 2014

Good Morning,

Hello and good morning to you all!  The holiday season is just around the corner and Local Bounty is a great place to stock up for all of your Thanksgiving fixings.  We will also have a wide array of Christmas gifts in soon so check often!  Shop and eat local for the holidays.  Come see us today and tomorrow 10-6, Sat. 9-1.

Did you know?

Small Business Saturday is Nov. 29th this year.  Spending your hard earned dollars locally directly boosts the local economy.  Be the change you want to see in Coshocton!

Flying Pig Farm

We’ve baked some old favorites and came up with exciting new products too! This week we have Roasted Pumpkin Bread and Zucchini Bread in large and small loaves. The zucchini is from our garden and we roast sweet pie pumpkins for our favorite fall bread. We’ve decided our granola needed an update so we’re offering granola bars. We still use healthy oats, puffed grains and local honey but gooey marshmallow holds it all together…it’s delicious and worth the guilt! We’re also baking fresh sandwich buns (round and oblong) to go with all the meat offerings at Local Bounty. We enjoyed some awesome brats last night! The round buns would also be great paired with some soup made with our soup mixes. It’s the perfect time of year to get out the crockpot! Have a great week everyone

Fall is such a fleeting season.  You can definitely feel winter creeping in and it is time to get cozy.  Tea is a great way to comfort you during this transitional season.  Sipping a cup of herb tea is a great micro vacation from you daily stress.  So snuggle up with a warm cup and enjoy!  Reset Button and Mint Condition are on my shelves now!  Focaccia and French Boule are also stocked for today.  Stay tuned for some exciting holiday items I have in store for you!

Keene Creek Farm

As we roll into the holiday season, we are starting to get orders for speciality items (such as fresh side). If you have a request, please let us know ASAP and we will be happy to do what we can to accommodate it – whether it be a pork product or an order of our pizza dough mixes (which make great teacher/bus driver, hair stylist, card club, neighbor, etc.) gifts. We will have our mild Italian brats back in stock next week. Lard is still available (in the red Coke cooler). Grab some and keep it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to bake pies for Thanksgiving – use it as a straight up substitute and get a crust that flakes perfectly

Strawberry Hill Farm

There have been some cold nights recently, and the gardens are starting to go to sleep for the winter. That said, we’ll still have plenty of kale for quite a while! Our offerings at Local Bounty this week include carrots, kale, pastured eggs, lettuce, summer squash, zucchini, and fresh parsley. Look for all of these in the cooler. Come and see Mary at the store on Saturday!

Thank you!
