We tried a new base recipe for our wheat breads and we think you’ll like it! Try our Wheat, Garlic Herb and Cinnamon Raisin. Sandwich buns are also great for burgers, pulled pork, brats or subs. We’ve baked up a fresh batch of Zucchini Bread too! All baked goods are made with non-GMO flours. Like us on Facebook for farm updates or to place orders – www.Facebook.com/OhioFlyingPigFarm.

Hillbippie

We were skiing in WV yesterday and boy was it cold.  Luckily we made it back in time for me to bake you some fresh Focaccia!  Did you know that my Focaccia bread can be split in half and made into a yummy pizza?  Just add sauce, cheese and toppings and bake a 350 until your cheese is melted, a great idea for a quick dinner.  Focaccia can also be frozen so stock up now! I will have Rustic French Baguettes tomorrow, perfect for garlic bread.

Humble Bee Bakery
Humble Bee Bakery is delighted to be part of the Local Bounty family! Offering baked goods that are scratch-made with quality ingredients from local vendors. Classic and gourmet flavored cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and pies are some of the tempting treats that will be available weekly. Created with care, mixed with pride, and baked with love; from my hive to yours. See you in March!

Keene Creek Farm

The extreme cold always makes for extra long days around here. We do have meat ready to pick up at the processor, but due to the weather, we will not make it up there this week. But bacon, Canadian bacon, and more of your favorite cuts will be back next week for sure. On another note, we have been trying to sell our Texas Longhorn bull for several months with no luck. The pasture was getting too cramped with 20 hogs and three cows. Since we couldn’t find another home for him, we decided to butcher him and make his meat available to you all. So, in a few weeks, you’ll be able to buy Texas Longhorn ground beef from us at Local Bounty. Please know that right now this will be a “one-time” thing for us – until we can secure more land.

Windy Hill Farm

NEW – Our Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites have it all…peanut butter sweetness, pretzel saltiness, and dipped in chocolate-y goodness. Bet you can’t eat just one! Also, our Rhubarb Pecan Bread is back. Sorry for its absence. We think you’ll agree it was worth the wait. Sweet and nutty…perfect with a cup of hot tea and honey, or locally roasted coffee from The Pink Elephant. Bundle up and come on down to Local Bounty today.

Thank you as always,

— Local Bounty Vendors
