Local Bounty Update
Good morning,
Stop in and see us today! Stock up on local goodness and enjoy the warm smile when you walk in the door 🙂 Today and tomorrow 10-6, Sat, 9-1.
Flying Pig Farm
Tired of the cold? Warm up with some hot soup and toasted bread! Our soup mixes are easy to prepare (the recipe is on the back) and pair well with many of the meats available at Local Bounty. Try our Garlic Herb bread with your favorite cheese to make a wicked grilled cheese. You’ll never want to use plain bread again! We like to slice our Cinnamon Raisin bread thick and make french toast. It’s awesome with real maple syrup. Like us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/OhioFlyingPigFarm
Hillbippie I will have French Boule samples in the store today! This bread is great for sandwiches, with soups or sauces, toast and more. Look for Focaccia tomorrow as I only have 1 loaf for today. Winter Chai in tea bags are restocked, there are also free sample bags to try. Thanks so much!
Keene Creek Farm We are restocking our freezer for you this morning…hopefully before 10. But, if not, soon after. We will have Canadian bacon back in stock, our peppered bacon and more. We are also reintroducing Cajun brats – they are a great addition to a pot of chili. Also new are some *bratwurst* seasoned patties. They’ll be great on the grill this spring. Lastly, we are taking orders for Easter hams. The last day to order isFriday, March 6. Hams are usually around 8-10 pounds and boneless. They’ll be ready for pick up just before the Easter holiday. As always, thanks for supporting local food efforts.
Turkey Hill Farm Last week we took 99 chickens to the butcher. Because of the breed, the birds were small. So, we got them all ground into ground chicken and sausage links. The links are delicious and have two different flavors, Mild Italian and Green Onion. These links will be at the market this week. The laying hens are making it through the cold weather very well by staying under the heat lamps and with extra bedding. They do seem a little lonely without the 99 other chickens in the barn to keep them company but, they are still producing eggs
Thank you,
