Good Morning,

Classes:

Kids Cooking Camp: Dates Set for July 27-July 31

This year’s fun, interactive cooking camp for kids will be held July 27-July 31. As in years past, there will be two time sessions to pick from each morning (one at 10 a.m. and the other at 11 a.m.). Classes will be held at Local Bounty Coshocton and will last approximately 40 minutes. Registration is $30 and classes are appropriate for kids age 4-10. Scholarships are available (thanks to a generous community member) – but we ask that you only apply for the scholarships if money restricts your child(ren)’s participation in the camp. Registration/Scholarship forms are available at the OSU Extension Office (our partner for this camp) and at Local Bounty. Registration is required and space is limited. All participants will receive an apron and some fun cooking utensils.

Updates:

Flying Pig Farm

We’ve baked up some delicious Applesauce Muffins. With just the right amount of spice and homemade applesauce made with hand picked, non-sprayed apples, these muffins use less butter and are a healthy addition to breakfast or snack time. We also have Cinnamon Raisin Sweet Rolls and Blueberry Scones along with our usual offerings. Don’t forget to order your gluten-free bread or buns! Have you tried Walter’s Bug Spray? Includes all natural ingredients and deters ticks, mosquitoes and flies. We use it on us, our puppy and the cows! Get farm updates by liking us on www.Facebook.com/OhioFlyingPigFarm.

Hillbippie

Did you know my teas are delicious iced?  It will be a good day to grab some 🙂  My pottery is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe!

Keene Creek Farm

This week you’ll find our kale and salad greens in the cooler again (both grown in a chemical-free environment). The cool season salad greens are starting to wind down, but the kale is going strong. We will replant the hoop house with lettuce in August for a fall crop this year. Our pork products are picked over every market week. Thanks so much for supporting us.  Brats and sausage are plentiful. Ham loaf is still in pretty good supply, but pork chops are running low. Unfortunately, we will not have more hogs to butcher until August – so bacon will be out until then. We are truly sorry, we didn’t ration what we had very well last time around. Our market stall is still stocked pretty well with pizza dough mixes, trail mix and our new dip mixes. Marissa is working at Local Bounty Friday from 10-2 and she’ll have samples to share.

Thanks!
