Lois Kathryn (Thompkins) Jennings
Lois Kathryn (Thompkins) Jennings passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 peacefully at her home. She was born June 27, 1926, in Coshocton, Ohio. Daughter of LeRoy E. and Clementine E. (Scheetz) Thompkins.
Graduated from Coshocton High School, Class of 1944.
She married William D. Jennings on March 18, 1945. He passed away Dec. 25, 2001.
She worked as a cashier at the Mu-Wa-Tu Theatre for four years, worked at Shaw Barton and American Art Works in the office.
She was a homemaker and taught Sunday School for 39 years and was a member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church. She was a member of the same card club for 70 years and was the last surviving member. A Brownie Scout Leader for five years. She enjoyed painting and going to craft shows and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Lois is survived by three of her daughters Kathy L. (Donald) Carnes of Coshocton, Kelly L. (Mitchell) King of Coshocton and Kristie L. (Gregory) Weingarth of Zanesville. Grandchildren: Justin (Shannon) Reiss, Jodie (Jason) Rusznak, Janel (Scott) Bevan, Donnie Carnes, Brian Carnes, Kasey (Emily Stepp) King, Aaron King, Stephanie (Donnie) Clark, Michelle Weingarth. Steven (Kylie) Weingarth, Matthew (Page Harris) Weingarth. Great Grandchildren: Marc Reiss, Megan Reiss, Justin D. Reiss, Jacob Reiss, Jolie (Alex Whitmore) Rusznak, Jace Rusznak, Jarett Rusznak, Jennings Rusznak, Ava Bevan, Wyatt Bevan, Zach Clark, Tyler Clark, Rylie Weingarth and two Great Great Grandchildren: Alynna Reiss and Kaid Reiss. One nephew Bill (Wendy) Cochran.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Jennings, daughter, Karin L. (Jennings) Reiss-Weber, sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Wilmer Cochran.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street Coshocton, Ohio on Friday Dec. 17, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Funeral services for Lois will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Roscoe Cemetery.
