Luke J. Longeretta

Luke Joseph Longeretta, 32, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 31, 1989 in Zanesville to Joseph Patrick Longeretta and Karen Leigh Lamp. He was a 2008 graduate of River View High School, and was in the United States Air Force from 2008-2016 serving in Afghanistan, Qatar, and South Korea. He was stationed Rapid City, SD for many years, last stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.

Luke loved to skateboard and snowboard. He also enjoyed bowling, golf, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family, especially his children, nieces, and nephews. He loved with a big heart and cared deeply for those close to him. He loved the Lord

He is survived by his wife, Shaniqua (Walker) Longeretta of Warsaw, whom he married March 17, 2021; three children, Alykzander, Zavier, & Zendaya Longeretta; his mother, Karen Lowery of Warsaw; a sister, Renee (Jason) Hardesty of Warsaw; a brother, Blake Watts of Warsaw; a half-sister, Angela Kunc of Florida; a stepbrother, Kent (Mindy) Lowery; his grandparents, Daniel & Rachel Lamp of Warsaw; and his nieces & nephews, Aleigha & Micah Hardesty, Sean, Jamal, & Izaac Watts, Emalyn & Blake Hunter, and Logan Kunc.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. Visitation is two hours prior to service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
