Margaret L. Granger

COSHOCTON – Margaret L. Granger, 93, of Coshocton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday December 20, 2018 at Coshocton County Regional Medical Center.

Margaret was born in Sebring, Ohio on April 8, 1925 to the late Clyde and Hilda (Elder) Smalley.

She was a homemaker throughout her life, was a past member of Roscoe United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 75 years; Margaret also attended her son’s church, New Life Ministries.  In her earlier years, Margaret was a telephone operator for Ohio Bell.  She also enjoyed crafting, attending craft shows, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Margaret is survived by her three children Mark (Doris) Granger of Coshocton, Ellin Granger of Columbus and Elizabeth “Libbie” (Doug) Granger-Prince of Coshocton; grandchildren Valerie (Eric) Madison, Cyrus (Allison) Granger, Erin (Mark) Cole, Maria (Brian Robb) Beard, Megan (Keven) Shroyer, Brooke (Jim) Varga, Patrick (Ashley) Prince and Emma (Trevor) Hartsock; great grandchildren Peyton, Paige and Lincoln Shroyer, Claire and Laney Varga, Wesley, William and Warren Prince, Ripley Hartsock and Hazel Granger; several nieces and nephews..

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband E. Ronald Granger whom she married on February 28, 1954; a son Darren Lee Granger; two grandchildren Luke and Hannah Granger; sisters Carol Smalley Walters and Charlotte Smalley Porter; a brother Jim Smalley.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday December 23, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday.  Funeral services for Margaret will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 AM with her son, Mark Granger officiating.  Interment will follow in Franklin Township Cemetery.
