Margene “Marge” Johnson
Margene Leeann “Marge” Johnson, 79, of Coshocton passed away at 7:07 P.M., Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Autumn Health Care of Coshocton.
Born July 12, 1933 in Coshocton County, Margene was the daughter of the late William Virgil and Nelllie Belle (Roberts) Cox
After attending Jefferson High School, Marge was employed as a Waitress-Cook at area restaurants. She was a former member of the Salvation Army and enjoyed attending Bible study at New Life Ministries. Her spare time activities were crocheting and crossword puzzles.
On April 22, 1952 she married John Andrew Johnson, Jr. who preceded her in death on January 27, 2002. Marge will be missed by her daughter Jackie (Mike) Medley of Newark; son John W. Johnson of Coshocton; three grandchildren Douglas May, Amber (Michael) Richards, Tabitha Gosselin; seven great-grandchildren; a brother William B. (Imogene) Cox of Conesville and special friends Betty Mason and Marie Hart.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marge was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Lee.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Thursday, prior to the funeral service.
