Marie Josephine Salmon

Marie Josephine Salmon, age 80, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. She was born on March 26, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Michael and Josephine (Hilinska) Zerishek.

On February 11, 1961, she married the love of her life, Edward Salmon. Together, they traveled the world while Edward served in the Military. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years and when she was younger, Marie enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and had a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed cooking and had a huge collection of cookbooks; she enjoyed gardening and teaching her children how to garden; and she truly loved her family. Marie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Edward Salmon; three children, Tina (David) Novack of Marietta, Georgia, Laura Kemmerer of Gas City, Indiana and Michael Salmon of Salt Lake City, Utah; three grandchildren, Doria Nathanson, Riley Kerrigan and Hanna Kerrigan; one sister, Dorothy  Herman of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her sister Veronica (Michael) Cavoto and son-in-law, James Kemmerer.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 am with Deacon Doug Mould officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
