Mary Helen Swank

Mary Helen Swank, 86, of Newcomerstown, passed away at home on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Newcomerstown. She was born July 18, 1938 in Newcomerstown, to the late Elmer and Margaret (Myers) Grewell. She was a 1956 graduate of West Lafayette High School. She worked at Starlight Drive Inn where she met Aaron, Syberling Rubber, now Boltaron, and at the law firm of attorney Richard Hanhart for over 30 years. Mary was a member of the Isletta Methodist Church and in the choir for over 50 years. She was also a worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. On December 23, 1960, she married Clifford “Aaron” Swank, who passed away on February 12, 2021. Mary is survived by her daughter, Betsy Singh-Anand (Rolland Kerr) of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Ian Jordan and fiancée Leah Tran of Katy, Tx, Erin Jordan of Dortmund, Germany; sister, Violet R. Myers of Coshocton. In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Edward B., Elmer Willard, and Arlington Wayne Grewell, Anna B. Edmonson, and Edith Cornell. Services for Mary Swank will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Addy Funeral Home with Dan Eggan officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery. Eastern Star Service will be held at noon. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Addy Funeral Home.
