Mary Jane (Appis) Gadfield
COSHOCTON – Mary Jane (Appis) Gadfield, age 95, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018.
Mary was born in Coshocton on November 14, 1922 to the late Samuel and Anna (Uher) Appis. After graduating high school, Mary worked for The Beach Co. for many years. On December 31, 1946 she married Harold Gadfield, who preceded her in death in June 6, 1986. Mary loved flowers and taking walks.
Mary is survived by her three children: Tami (Dan) Secrest, Pam Gadfield, and Greg Gadfield; five grandchildren: Jenna (Justin) Finehout, Travis (Tara) Secrest, Mindy (Dan) Duncan, Lee (Tina) Gadfield, and AJ Hession; 13 great-grandchildren: Jaeden, Gianna, and Jackson Finehout, Ashton, Bristol, and Braxton Secrest, Gracyn and Sutton Hession, Brayden, Bryce, and Evan Duncan, and Mikyle and Lathan Gadfield; several nieces and nephews, and one sister-in-law, Shirley Appis.
Along with her husband and parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother, Sam Appis, Jr., grandson, Mathew Gadfield, two sisters, Betty Dillon and Frances Walker, and two brothers-in-laws, Ray Dillon and Dick Walker.
A graveside service for Mary will be held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Evangelist Ron Davis officiating.
