Mary Jo Wessel
Mary Jo Wessel, 73, of Mayfield Heights, recently of Coshocton, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Lafayette Point. She was born on November 25, 1947 to the late Anthony G. and Antionette (DiCostanzo) in Cleveland, Ohio. In Mary Jo’s early years, she was a hairdresser and later worked as a switch board operator. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was an amazing writer.
Mary Jo is survived by her daughter, Lisa (David Boley) Wessel of West Lafayette; grandson, Spencer Brazil; brother, Alex Comella; former sister-in-law, Marge Camella Mintz; nieces and nephews, Jenifer (Jeremy) Comella Speer and Anthony (Alexis Brandt) Comella, who was also her Godson; great nephew, Carson Comella and former husband, William A. Wessel and wife, Amy Wessel.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her Nana, Josephine DiCastanzo.
Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 1pm to 2pm. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday at 2pm. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
