Mary Lou (Cline) Ridenour

| October 21, 2024

Mary Lou (Cline) Ridenour passed away peacefully on early October 15, 2024, at Altercare in Coshocton.

Born November 26, 1930, in Coshocton, she was a daughter of Dana and Thelma (Lorenz) Cline. She was also a graduate of Coshocton High School.

On May 17, 1953, she married Robert A. Ridenour, who preceded her in death July 11, 2018.

Mary Lou lived most of her life in Coshocton where she was active in tennis, bridge clubs, Greek dancing, and a variety of activities at Grace United Methodist Church, to which she belonged for decades.

Warm and engaging, Mary Lou had many friends in and around Coshocton, but she was always at her best at family gatherings. She was immensely proud of her family and could talk for hours about their accomplishments. She and Robert loved to vacation on North Carolina’s Outer Banks – particularly during summer months when the entire family would spend a week gathered in a big beach house.

She is survived by three daughters: Karen (Nolan) Weidner of Syracuse, NY; Susie (Joe) Genet of Tulsa, OK; and Debbie (John) Ingell of Highlands Ranch, CO. Six grandchildren: Michael (Sarah) Weidner of Westport, CT; Daniel (Alyson Fox) Weidner of Denver, CO; Jacob (Laura) Genet of Chattanooga, TN; Jessie (Chris) Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; and Christina and Jeffrey Ingell, both of Denver, CO; and seven great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include three sisters: Kathy (Wes) Cohen of Durham, NC; Paulette (Tom) Mulligan of Hendersonville, NC; and Linda Blodgett of Ashland, Ohio. Two sisters preceded her in death.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Windsorwood Place of Coshocton for the care Mary Lou received the past several years.

Friends may call from 9-11:00 AM on November 2, 2024, in the Presbyterian Church sanctuary at 142 North Walnut Street, Coshocton. Service will follow at 11:00 AM, with burial at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mary Lou’s name to Grace United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1548, Coshocton, OH 43812. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
