Max Dixon Lucas

Max Dixon Lucas, 92, currently of Wellston, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Edgewood Manor of Wellston. He was born on June 7, 1930 in Coalton, Ohio to the late Harry and Grace (Dixon) Lucas. He was a graduate of Coalton High School. He entered the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged after his service. He then went to work as a coal miner. Max was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and the Coshocton VFW and Moose.

Max is survived by his children, Steve (Rhonda) Lucas of Henderson, Kentucky and Lee Ann (John) Helber of Logan, Ohio; two grandchildren, Heather (Brandon) McQuinn and Jason (Jennifer) Lucas; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Briley McQuinn and Allison, Ava and Ryan Lucas.

Along with his parents, Max was preceded in death by his partner, Marilyn Amstutz; siblings, Myron Lucas, Maxine Miller, Imogene Downard, Joanne Lucas, and Marjorie Lucas, as well as his great grandson, Tyler McQuinn.

Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Harold Sprague officiating. Burial will follow at the Canal Lewisville Cemetery.
