Mayor Mills thanks residents for holiday cheer
The last city council meeting of the year, which took place on Dec. 13, began with Mayor Mark Mills extending a special word of thanks to all of the organizations and individuals who have been helping out in the community and working hard to make it possible for children in the community to have the kind of Christmas they deserve. Mills went on to remind residents to slow down on the roads, be alert, obey traffic signals and look out for their neighbors this holiday season.
Safety and Service Director Max Crown expressed thanks to all of the residents for having patience as leaf pickup continues. Crown stated he is hopeful all of the leaves will be picked up before Christmas. On another positive note, council members voted in favor of awarding Coshocton in Bloom with a donation of more than $19,000.
Council was also made aware that New York Deli would like to change their name in the upcoming year.
Due to council taking a holiday recess, the next city council meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022.
