Meeting scheduled for those interested in space camp

All present third through middle school students that are interested in participating at Space Camp/Academy in Huntsville, AL, are invited to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, Feb.10, at 5:30 p.m. The session will be held at Roscoe United Methodist Church (475 High St. near Roscoe Village) in the fellowship hall.
Hopewell Administrator Shannon Shontz and retired educator (head chaperone) Les Widder, will be accompanying the group. Parents of interested students are also invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
If your child(ren) is a participant from last year’s group (24 students), it is not necessary to attend. A total of 40 students may attend space camp/academy this year. The first 16 qualified new applicants will be invited to join the group.
To get a sneak preview of space camp, visit www.spacecamp.com. Students in the past have been from Coshocton, Sacred Heart, Ridgewood, River View, Coshocton Christian and several home schoolers. Serious participants should be prepared to make a $75 downpayment. There will also be an application form that will need filled out by the potential camper, parent, teacher and principal. Checks should be made out to: Friends of Coshocton County Space Camp. Camp will be held Oct. 10-15.
All meeting attendees should wear a face mask and sit in family groups.
