| July 31, 2013

COSHOCTON – Energy and excitement filled Isaac Dickerson’s voice when he explained what he thought of the program he attended at the Mentoring Center of Coshocton County.

“It’s awesome,” said the 8-year-old.

The summer youth mentoring program is free for ages 6-10 and there is one week of it left. From 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, participants will learn about cooking and get to enjoy ice cream and dessert pizza.

The program is held at The Mentoring Center’s office on Main Street. Pre-registration is required at least one week prior. For information or to register, call The Mentoring Center of Coshocton County at 623-8110.

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
