Michael C. Hayes
Michael C. Hayes, age 70, of West Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 24, 2024. He was born on November 10, 1954, in Coshocton, to John and Lois (Kinner) Hayes.
Mike graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1973 and then worked part-time at the Post Office for several years in Fresno before being transferred to West Lafayette, driving rural routes for over 40 years.
He loved working on things, including golf carts. Mike was a wonderful man with a huge heart and would help anyone in need. He loved his dogs and always looked forward to seeing the dogs on his mail route. He also volunteered at the Coshocton Animal Shelter for several years.
Mike is survived by his loving parents, John and Lois Hayes of West Lafayette, his partner of 20 years, Patty Jones of West Lafayette; brother, Mitch (Denise) Hayes of West Lafayette, niece LeAnn (Marcus) White and their son, Bowen of Millersburg; nephew Darren Hayes of West Lafayette and Aunt Sandy McCoy of Waterford, WV.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
