Mildred I. Helmick

Mildred I. Helmick, 93, passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at the Country Club Nursing Home.

She was born in New Guilford on June 12, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Wilma Jewel (Bush) and Alexander Shuman Sr. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Denzil Helmick, her brother, Arthur Ray Shuman, and her half-brothers, Homer and Murleo Shuman.

Mildred is survived by her son, Alexander Ray Stewart, her grandson, Alexander Ray (Brandy) Stewart, great granddaughters, Shana Lynn (Neil) and Kylie Dawn, her great-great grandsons, Greyson and David Alexander, and her former daughter-in-law, Bonnie Stewart Normant.

A funeral service, with restricted seating, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 4 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Mark Granger will officiate. Burial will follow in New Guilford Cemetery on SR 541.
