Mildred Jean Popadak

Mildred Jean Popadak, age 74, of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. She was born on January 6, 1950, in Dennison, Ohio, to the late Homer and Esther (Eckelberry) Beighley.

She was a 1968 graduate of Indian Valley South High School and a 1992 graduate of Warren County Career Center. Mildred worked for 22 years as an Assembler with N.C.R. in Cambridge, Ohio and then for many years as a Microfilm Tech with Warren County Records Center.

Mildred was a member of Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon. She enjoyed reading, collecting lighthouses, her kitties, working on cryptograms and music. She was a lover of the Beatles, Mark Lindsay and her son’s band, Hawthorne Heights.

She is survived by her loving son, Christopher “Poppy” Popadak, her grandson, Marley Popadak; two brothers, Bernie Beighley and Roger Beighley; brother-in-law Ralph King; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Along with her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her sister Virginia King and brother Larry Beighley.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Union Cemetery in Port Washington, Ohio with Pastor Todd Green officiating. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.

Memorial donations may be made in Mildred’s name to Urbancrest Baptist Church- Food Distribution Center, 2634 Drake Rd., Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
