Miller supports Ohio BUILDS funding to West Lafayette

| November 4, 2021

State Representative Kevin Miller (R-Newark) announced Ohio BUILDS (Broadband, Utilities, and Infrastructure for Local Development Success) funding being allocated to Coshocton County.

Governor DeWine created Ohio BUILDS program to reduce or eliminate the financial burden on localities associated with critical infrastructure needs such as the replacement of old water lines, construction of new water systems, and the installation of new water mains.

“The Ohio BUILDS initiative is helping communities throughout Ohio and it is encouraging to see funds being allocated to Coshocton County,” Miller said.

The Village West Lafayette will receive a $2.87 million grant to install a dedicated wastewater treatment plant outfall. The outfall system at the wastewater treatment plant has a tendency to back up during large rainstorms and this project will provide relief for the facility.

Upon the completion of this project, 10,000 people will see its benefits.
