Minnie C. Jones (Grammie)

| April 10, 2023

Minnie C. Jones (Grammie), age 83, of Coshocton, went to be with The Lord on the happiest day in history, Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.

She was born on February 4, 1940, in Coshocton, to the late Mike and Marie (Pongratz) Western. Minnie was a 1958 graduate of Coshocton High School.

She was a life member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked at the Pregnancy Distress Center for many years. Minnie loved her family fiercely but she loved Jesus even more. She taught those around her the importance of prayer, loving others, showing grace and giving forgiveness. Her persistent prayers, presence and laughter will be infinitely missed by all who knew her. When you think of Minnie we hope that you’re inspired to pray and give praise to God just as she always did.

Minnie was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, enjoyed baking and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her three children, Teresa (Ricky Whims) Ames of West Lafayette, Amy (Larry) Durben of Coshocton and Steve (Cherie) Jones of Coshocton; two wonderful grandchildren, Justine (Jamie) Albert of South Carolina and Jared Jones of Port Washington; and four very special great-grandchildren, Clara Marie, Ellis Lane, and Emma Ruth Albert and Legacy Gillian.

Along with her parents, Minnie is preceded in death by her son, Curt Jones and her brother, Paul M. Western.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11: 00 am. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Minnie’s name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 805 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Lafayette Pointe, Coshocton Regional Medical Center, ICU and 4th Floor and Community Hospice for all their care, love and kindness they showed Minnie.
