Missing children located after short search

COSHOCTON – On Oct. 4, at 1:03 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to two small children being missing in the 29000 block of SR 93. The caller advised that 3 and 4 year old girls have apparently wandered into a wooded area and have been missing for about 45 minutes.

Several deputies, including both K-9 units responded to the scene along with West Lafayette Fire and Coshocton County EMS.

Deputies arrived on scene at 1:09 p.m. and Dep. Stone, along with K-9 Henata, began to track the children minutes later. Within 10 minutes, Dep. Stone and K-9 Henata located the missing children who had minor injuries, scrapes and bumps, from the trek through the woods.

Assisting with this incident were Coshocton County EMS and West Lafayette Fire.
