Molly Marie ‘Grannie’ Wallace

Molly Marie “Grannie” Wallace, 89, of West Lafayette, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at The Oaks at Bethesda in Zanesville. She was born on Oct. 3, 1931 in Meigs County to the late Lester and Ada (Stotts) Howell.

In her earlier years she worked as a housekeeper for a motel in Athens. She also worked in the kitchen for Yoder’s Dun-Rovin Restaurant and Cricket’s Restaurant in West Lafayette, aid for Coshocton Health Center and helped several elderly in the community. She loved spending time with her family, going to garage sales, and collecting and reading old recipe books. She would love to talk to you about anything. She never knew a stranger and was always chatting and making new acquaintances.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wallace; her son, Randy Wallace; sister and brother-in law, Irene (Glen) Roseberry; and nephew, Tom Haning.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Melvin Wallace, daughter, Jackie Krasky, both of West Lafayette; and her grandchildren, Angela Wright, Stephanie Wallace, Brian (Stephanie) Krasky, and Carrie (Jason) Brock; great-grandchildren, Tyler Wright, Kaden, Rilynn and Parker Brock, and Jacob and Gatlin Krasky; sister, Lillian Haning; brothers, William and Wayne Howell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Molly’s wishes, a cremation will take place and a graveside memorial service will be held in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafyette at a later date. The family extends special thanks to the entire staff of The Oaks at Bethesda Zanesville, the Genesis Hospice Care Zanesville, and her special friend and neighbor Cheryl (Larry) Rehard.
