Mother and 3 children injured in accident

On April 25, 2020, at approximately 5:58 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to an injury-accident at the intersection of CR 9 and TR 257.

Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that Sarah Wise, 25 years old from Massilon, was traveling eastbound on CR 9 when she lost control of her vehicle. Wise went off the right side of the roadway, struck a sign and a tree, went airborn and came to rest on the front porch of a residence. Wise and her three children were all trapped in the vehicle. The three children were able to be removed but Wise had to be extricated by the West Lafayette Fire Department.  The children were transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center by Coshocton County EMS with minor injuries. Wise was transported to Akron General Hospital by Medflight. Her condition is not known at this time.

Assisting at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Dept., Newcomerstown Fire, NERS, Medflight, REACT, and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
