Motorcycle crash reported on CR 271

On July 15, 2020 at approximately 4:59 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a suspicious person who had possibly crashed their vehicle in the 3900 block of County Road 271.

Once deputies arrived on scene, a male was located in the area and was found to be injured. Upon investigation, it was known that the male identified as David M. Turner Jr. (29) of Edinburg, Pennsylvania, was traveling south on County Road 271, on a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle, when he lost control of the motorcycle and went off the right side of the roadway. After leaving the roadway, Turner struck a fence before crashing in a nearby field.

Turner was flown from the scene by medical helicopter to Akron General Hospital. The severity of Turner’s injuries are unknown at this time.  This incident remains under investigation at this time.

Assisting the sheriff’s office on scene were the Coshocton County EMS, Three Rivers Fire Department, Conesville Fire District, MedFlight, and Princes Wrecker Service.
