Museum group to discuss clothing

| May 3, 2023

Meet Me at the Museum will be held on Tuesday, May 30 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum. Bring a lunch or enjoy some snacks.

This month’s discussion will be on the Coshocton Footlight Players’ play happening in May called “Love, Loss, and What I Wore,” written by Nora and Delia Ephron, based on the book of the same title by Ilene Beckerman. At times poignant, at times hilarious, the characters in the play tell the stories of their lives through the clothes they wore. Do you remember your scout uniform?  What you wore to the prom? The boots you thought would get you a date? Choose an item from your wardrobe time capsule (or a memory if you no longer have the item) and bring it to share. At least one of the cast members will be attending for some backstage insights and museum staff will pull out an outfit or two from the museum’s collection to share. For dates, times, and tickets to the play, visit footlightplayers.com/shows.

No registration is needed. This program is offered at no charge and made possible with the support of the Joe R. Engle Museum Gallery Fund of the Coshocton Foundation. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village at 300 N. Whitewoman St. in Coshocton. Museum hours are Tuesday – Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. and all Sundays are free admission to Coshocton County residents.
