COSHOCTON – Ladies, are you ready to indulge in an evening of scrumptious cuisine paired with delectable wines, all while supporting a great cause? The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum promises this and more at the What Women Want dinner and auction April 13 beginning at 5:30 p.m. What Women Want: A Night Out Just for Women features a luxurious five-course dinner and a lively auction of unique packages and exclusive experiences. It also serves as a fundraising event organized by The Friends of the Museum. All proceeds go to support the museum’s educational programming.

The affair begins at 5:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres, wine and music. Check in, examine the auction packages and bid in the silent auction. A sit-down dinner served by black-tie waiters begins around 6:30 p.m. Chef Michael Cichon is known to create enticing entrees that thrill the pallet, and this year will be no different.

The What Women Want Auction includes cool packages, unique dinners, outing bundles and parties. Past favorites that will be offered again include a gourmet dinner for eight at the museum prepared by Chef Cichon, a gourmet dinner for six prepared by Chef Bob McKenna at the Speckman House and a high tea, Downton Abbey style, at Clary Gardens. One of the most popular packages is The Time Traveler, a barbequed rib supper for 10 at the Tree Top Lodge, built in the early 1920s by Charles Dennis, owner of the Morgan Run Coal and Mine Company. Auction items will be listed on JHM’s website as the time draws closer.

Tickets are $50 if purchased by March 31. Beginning April 1, tickets will be $60, so get yours early! Admission covers hors d’oeuvres, dinner and a complimentary wine ticket. “Friends” members will receive an additional wine ticket. A cash wine bar will also be available. If you are interested in sponsoring a full table or an auction item, please contact the museum. Tickets may be purchased at the museum, by calling 740-622-8710 or by visiting the website. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 p.m. Ticket sales end on April 6.
