MVL volleyball players honored

MVL high school volleyball players recently received their league awards.

Defensive player of the year for the big school division went to River View High School senior Cayla Shrimplin. Player of the year was her classmate Kayla Dulgar.

All MVL First Team awards went to River View seniors Dulgar and Shrimplin. A special mention award was given to River View senior Alivia Spaulding. River View freshman Haley Balo received an honorable mention.

River View finished fourth in the big school division with an 8-8 MVL record and a 13-9 overall record.

In the small school division Coshocton senior Miyah Davis was named the defensive player of the year.

Coshocton players who earned All MVL First Team honors were seniors Jalynn West, Davis, and Lindsay Bryant. Coshocton sophomore Kenidi Jackson earned a special mention award, and an honorable mention was given to Coshocton sophomore Lacey Guthrie.

Coshocton finished third in the small school division with a league record of 11-5 and an overall record of 16-6.
