Nancy C. Hale

Nancy C. Hale, 85, passed away on Oct. 21, 2021, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 7, 1936, in Coshocton to the late Robert and Lucy (Jones) Richcreek. She was a graduate of Roscoe High School. On Aug. 31, 1956 (65 years), she married Wilbur Hale, who survives. She worked as a nursing assistant at the Coshocton Hospital for 30 years. She was an amazing cook and baker. For several years she baked 200 cookies a week, delivering them to families. She was selfless and took care of others. Nancy had a strong faith and was a member at Grace United Methodist Church. Nancy and Wilbur spent 27 winters in Harlingen, Texas.

Along with her husband, Nancy is survived by her children, Rickey (Connie) Hale, Darla Hale, Lesha (Don Minor) Woodruff and W. Mark (Tammie) Hale; grandchildren, Tom Haines, Nick Wright, Amanda Wright, Jen Matheny, Randy Hardesty II, Cassie Hardesty, Ron Hardesty, Lane Hale, Steven Woodruff, Lelah Hale, Sean Kelly and Daniel Kelly; three great-grandchildren and two on the way; siblings, Elsworth Richcreek and Spencer Richcreek; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Nancy is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Hale; grandson, Mark Hale and siblings, Olive Corder and Rodney Richcreek.

Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home on Oct. 25, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Funeral services for Nancy will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.
