COSHOCTON – National Day of Prayer and His Word to the World Bible Reading will be held Thursday, May 7, on the court square. People can bring their Bibles and sign up to be assigned Bible readings from 5:30 to 6 p.m. There will be praise and worship time from 6 to 6:15 p.m., the time of prayer will start between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m. and there also will be a balloon launch.

Debbie Addy from Women of Witness said they are hoping to have 365 people attend and fan out around the court house. If each of them takes a portion of the Bible to read, the entire book can be read out loud at one time in 15 minutes.

“That will be his word going out over the entire community and there is nothing more powerful than his word,” Addy said.

The event is sponsored by Women of Witness and Coshocton Ministerial Fellowship and this year’s theme is I Kings 8:28: “Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in Your presence this day.”
