Neighbor reports burglary
COSHOCTON – On July 11, at approximately 5:17 a.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a concerned neighbor in reference to their neighbor’s house actively being broken into. Deputies responded to the 1800 block of Chestnut St in the city of Coshocton where they encountered the suspect vehicle leaving the immediate area. A traffic stop was initiated on the suspect vehicle and the driver fled on foot into a wooded area. The adult male passenger was taken into custody at the scene and the adult male that fled into the wooded area gave up to officers as Dep. Mox and K-9 Chili were nearing in on his location.
Both men were taken into custody without incident. This burglary is in the early stages of the investigation and the names of those in custody will be released up filing of formal charges.
