COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Coordinated Transportation Agency (CCCTA) has announced its new winter policy, which will be in effect immediately.

Every effort will be made to provide transportation services during inclement weather. It may be necessary to limit service within the city limits or for emergency needs only.

If the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office declares a Level II or Level Ill snow emergency for Coshocton County prior to the start of daily operations, CCCTA will not provide transportation services at all that day.

If the Coshocton County Sheriff ‘ s Office declares a Level II or Level Ill snow emergency after the start of business, trips in progress will be completed if safe to do so. In the event a driver deems a road impassable, they must notify the CCCTA office and staff will make efforts to make other arrangements for safe travel home.

In the event Coshocton County is not under a Level II or Level Ill snow emergency but the rider’s destination is in a county under a Level II or Level Ill snow emergency, CCCTA will not provide transportation services for that trip.

CCCTA riders should tune in to radio station WTNS 99.3, check the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Facebook page and/or the county website to stay informed on weather-related issues and emergencies.

The transit director shall be responsible for determining limited service or service cancellation during inclement weather based on information provided by the local law enforcement. All other responsibilities shall be as defined above.

The transit director reserves the right to change this policy at any time without prior notice.
