New video game store opens in mini plaza
COSHOCTON – EJ’s Video Game Exchange buys, sells and trades used video games, DVDs and some CDs.
“You can bring in old games and trade them toward new ones,” said Kevin Kreider. “I’ll give trade credit for other items in the store or outright buy them. You don’t get a whole lot for them in cash though.”
He and his wife, Angela opened the store in the mini plaza and their children EJ and Gwyn often help out.
“I’ve been a big gamer for years,” Kevin said. “When the kids were real little I worked at a store in Newark and then I worked at one we had here on Main Street for a little while. I love games and so do the kids.”
The store opened March 9 and started with around 600 games, but now has close to 1,000.
“I went bigger in Xbox 360, but have also started seeing people love the classics like the Nintendo and Super Nintendo games.”
The store also carries accessories for the game systems, the systems themselves and has some memorabilia from games like posters and stuffed animals. Plus the discs are cleaned to repair any scratches. They do not however, handle computers, iPod, iPad or cell phones.
“We are small, but growing,” EJ said.
EJ’s Video Game Exchange is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and closed on Sunday and Monday. For more on the store, call 740-502-4042 or look the store up on Facebook.
