Nine year old killed by lightning

COSHOCTON – At approximately 12:35 p.m. Aug. 10, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call by a local mother reporting her 9 year old son was stuck by lightning and is unresponsive in the area of Jefferson Twp. 341, in our county.

Coshocton County EMS was first on scene with Walhonding Valley Fire and Coshocton County Sheriff’s office also responding to assist EMS and the family.

The child was transported from the scene to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital where he later died from this injury.
