Nola Kay Dunlap

ZANESVILLE – Nola Kay Dunlap, age 70, of Zanesville, passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, March 23, 2018. She was born on April 11, 1947, in Zanesville, to the late Robert Dean and Julia Eloise (Thompson) Dunlap.

Nola graduated from Adamsville High and attended Meredith Business College. She worked briefly for the Zanesville Times Recorder and then worked for the Daily Jeffersonian for 39 years in the Composing Department, before retiring in 2012.

She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers,  enjoyed playing cards, bingo, gardening, cooking, was an animal lover, she also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Nola is survived by her two sisters, Trish Thompson and Kathy (Tony) Robinson both of Zanesville; four nieces, Brooke (Andy) Shouse of Columbus, Jessica (Mike) Paisley of Coshocton, Haley (fiancé Hunter Miller) Robinson and Kylee Robinson both of Zanesville; four great nieces and nephews, Fiona and Lukin Shouse and Wyatt and Jerika Paisley; a special aunt, many cousins, and many wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 1:00pm at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Zanesville. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Nola’s name to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter Society, 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
