One transported to hospital after June 13 accident
On June 13, 2021 at 6:11 p.m., the sheriff’s office received several 911 calls of an accident with injuries at US.36 and CR.23.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that Kimberly S. Massie (59) of McConnelsville was traveling northbound on CR 23 and failed to stop at the stop sign at CR 23 and US 36. Celcie Rhodes (28) of Newcomerstown was traveling westbound on US 36 coming to the intersection of US 36 and CR 23. The two vehicles collided causing the Massie vehicle to overturn onto its top.
Massie was transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center by Coshocton County EMS. Rhodes sustained minor injuries in the accident. Massie was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. Assisting deputies at the scene were Walhonding Valley Fire, Jackson TWP Fire, Coshocton County EMS, REACT and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
