Opal M. Fisher

Opal M. Fisher, 94, of Coshocton passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at her home. She was born in Coshocton, Ohio on June 28, 1926 to the late Francis and Fern (Tarman) Clark.

Opal graduated from Coshocton High School in 1946 and worked as a cook at the Coshocton VFW 2040. She was a member of the Coshocton Christian Assembly and the VFW. She was known for many years as the “Pie Lady,” she loved baking pies and people loved eating them.

Opal is survived by her daughters Sue Tumblin of Coshocton and Tammy Slatter of Florida; sons Steve (Jeanie) Casey of Coshocton and James Fisher of Florida; brother Robert Clark; sister Norma Ruby; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Fisher; granddaughter Angie Bible; great-granddaughter; great-grandson Oliver; brothers Francis “JR” and Harold “Whitie” Clark; sister Delores “Pinky” Cox; and son-in-law Greg Tumblin.

Per Opal’s wishes a cremation will take place and burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date at South Lawn Cemetery. The Miller Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements. An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
