OSU Extension and senior center to host ‘Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate?’

COSHOCTON – We’ve all heard those stories about how a death in the family resulted in major arguments or years of silence between descendants. Or even worse, maybe this has already been your experience. Planning for the transfer of both titled and non-titled property is an important issue that can significantly impact family relations.

OSU Extension and the Coshocton Senior Center are offering a “Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate?” workshop to give you tools to help plan for the transfer of non-titled property. The program will be Monday, Oct. 29 from 10:30 a.m. – noon at the Coshocton Senior Center.

This workshop will help you learn strategies to jumpstart conversations about inheritance, about the powerful messages in who gets what, how complex emotional and family relationships impact personal property decisions, and six key decision making factors in non-titled property transfer.

RSVP to the Coshocton Senior Center at 740-622-4852. The program is free with optional workbooks that can be purchased for $10 the day of the class. Find more information at coshocton.osu.edu or contact Emily Marrison at OSU Extension at 740-622-2265.
